Grr

You know what I hate?
BLOCKED NOSES

Oh Em Gee! How annoying can they be. It's just zzzzzz. You can't breathe through your nose, you talk like you're some retarded idiot with something up your nose and it's so effing uncomfortable. I just wanna murder my nose =.=

So what do you do when you have one? You either run around to relieve it, apply some minty thingos to unblock it. But when you're in bed trying to sleep, that's when things get pissy. The whole night you turn from one side to the other because the stuff inside your nose flows from one nostril to the other. =.= How gay.

Please nose, heal yourself by tomorrow. I can't stand another day with an unbreathable nose.

Back

Melanie is back. Haha i missed my bed so much, coz the accommodation wasn't that great. The food was great but the showers were a bit hmmm....

BUT, Melanie is also sick. Woo hoo =.= Must be all that cheering for our medal teams. Cheering was awesome. The thing is: My team went to cheer most of the other teams, but no one came to watch ours =(

Cbb posting much. Hurting my eyes =\ I shall see many of you on tuesday :)

F.

Crap day much =.=
Went to work. Stuffed up heaps. It was not funny, srsly...the boss at the end was like..hmm....To top it all off, my last order consisted of 9 pizzas. Yay. Hmph.

Tomoro Melb. How fun. *Half sarcastically* Can't be bothered. Gonna wake up at 5am for half the days I'm there. Not to mention the wowsoveryeffinghot weather there. Playing indoors with ratio of carbon dioxide to oxygen being 10:1 We don't get to explore much. Except for the weekend. We go to this ripoff market place. Hmph. Ok lah, it's not that bad. My mood atm doesn't allow me any excitement.

Flying at 11.30am tomoro. Let's hope QANTAS doesn't pull off another magic trick and blow open the roof of the plane halfway through the flight. Pray pray.

Now off to packing.
Ciao.

Ginga-bread houses

So over the past two weeks, my food class designed gingerbread houses. We had to make the gingerbread and build the house, then decorate it with lollies and whatever that looks good. Too lazy to type...too hot. I shall just leave you with pics.

And other people's amazing ones:

Stacked it...almost

Ok so I've made the pizza, was gonna put it through the oven rite...There's a bin in my way, so being the lazy person i am, i decided to reach over to put the pizza in instead of moving the bin (Because I totally didn't need to walk to the oven again for the rest of the night). Then I realise it's too far to reach, so I reach out to put my hand beside the oven to support myself. Now, ovens are hot. So are the sides.

So just before I put my hand beside the oven, my superfast (not) brain tells me: "U dumbass. It's hot." So I jerk back my hand before touching the side. But no, I had already reached over too far. And without support, the result is:

Tripping over another bin. I didn't hit the ground because I ended up stopping myself by grabbing the dough cupboard in front. Yes it was embarassing. And yes, it was very smooth (not). Now why did I post this? But anyway...

Hmm

There is a type of person that, in a conversation, can either talk in one way or another. Example:

Conversation 1:
Dude: "So, how's life?"
Person: "Yea. Good."

Conversation 2:
Dude: "So, how's Bakuman (manga)?"
Person: "Yea man! It's sooo cool! Yea you should totally read it! Blablablablabla..."

Sometimes, you have to find topics that interests your conversation partner(s). Or else it will be a one way conversation with a ratio of 5 sentences: 1 word. Trust me, it's awkward. Very awkward. In these situations, the best thing to do is go: "I need to go somewhere soon. See ya later!" *Run away quickly* Its OK to run, because:

The other person will be running away in the opposite direction to you. And the last thing they want is to see you.

Only Hannah knows who I'm talking about bahahahahha

Rossy vs Greenwood

Okok, so my team played the Greenwood volleyball team at 7 just now. It was epic. 5 set game, and the result..............Kindly don't scroll down immediately.

Started off pretty good, like we were doing everything right. Won the first two sets. Naturally (we're human) we started becoming abit cocky. Went into the third set, played, quite frankly, shit. Lost third set.

No matter, off to fourth set. We lost it too. So now, it's 2-2. Naturally (we're human) we felt the pressure. Cmon, leading 2-0, and now its 2-2. =.=

Fifth set was to 15 points instead of the normal 25. Went into the set, hmm I don't know what I was feeling, except that I was praying really hard =P

And..........................

We won. The end. Thank you for wasting 2 minutes reading this post. Now I shall take a shower and finish music assignment. Oh yea, I forgot, my piano exam is in 2 days. =D=D=D

Random

Watching Today Tonight in lounge: (Story was about how not enough sleep can damage your health):

Person being interviewed: "Basically, not enough sleep makes you fat, sick and stupid."
Tiff: "Wow! Jeremy, you don't have enough sleep."
Jeremy: "Hahahah....wait....shut up!!"

If for two seconds...

The world was your imagination.
Everything as you wished,
Impossibilities impossible,
Wishes coming true within a heartbeat,
A world of dreams and fantasies.

Call it a childish hope.
Call it a fool's paradise.
But I ask you:
Haven't we all,
Created our own worlds,
Our worlds of dreams and fantasies?

Then the seconds pass,
And reality returns,
Like an ocean wave
Washing away a sandcastle.
Or a mischievous kid
Extinguishing his brother's hope,
His world of dreams and fantasies.

The longing to return.
The twinge of regret.
The sad laugh at one's own foolishness.
The ache of knowing
That it was all just
A world of dreams and fantasies.

The choice of returning
Back into our worlds or not,
Lurks in the corner of our minds.
Foolishly,
Knowing the impossible is impossible,
Knowing the ache that will follow,
We choose to return,
If only for two seconds,
To our worlds of dreams and fantasies.

Randomness

Did you know extreme boredom/stress leads to extreme randomness? I'm living proof. Hm.. everyone's cramming for exams, I'm practicing my fingers off for piano. (well not really. I don't care if i fail)

One of my future goals (besides to never use stress/depression medication ) is to:
Develop a cream for impotence, in cats and in humans.
Don't ask why. Just don't. Instead, lemme ask you a question: "Can you spot the mistakes?"

This was at some Happy Hour Noodles thingy next to Utopia in Myaree. Mmmm...bubbletea ^.^ Which brings me to my next goal: Try every bubbletea flavour with all the extras. Hehe

Anyway, a very special person got a very special gift for her birthday from her nice-smart-and-awesome friends ^.^ No, no sarcasm intended there. Can you spot it? (Hint: it's gold)

Which brings me to my last goal: Get new shoes =D

Tis a random post. I'm tired. Piano exam in 9 days. Melbourne in 25 days. *waits* no, not for piano.

You know you're stressed when:

1) You feel like this half the time:

2) You reckon this haircut and facial expression looks perfectly normal:

3) You feel like this the other half of the time:

4) You start thinking:" Doing this to everyone and everything isn't such a bad idea after all."

I know it's exam time. I know it's easy to lose focus on God. It's a stressful time. God is waiting for you to ask him to trust him.

"Cast your cares upon the Lord and he will sustain you." Psalm 55:22

I advise you to:

1) Get enough sleep instead of cramming till 3am or coughdotaingcough till 4am.

2) Don't lock yourself in your room all day. Go out for a bit of fresh air. Jog. Swim. Party more...

3) Smile instead of sadface whole day.

4) Most importantly: PRAY.

If we trust in God, it'll make our path easier. I'm not saying it's all pray and no work ok... =.= But, trust, pray and have faith :)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge, and he will make your path straight." Proverbs 3:5

Bubble Tea

You know you love it. If you don't, you're not asian enough.

But anyway...my bro and sis were just chatting and somehow came to the topic bbtea. This was how the conversation played out:

Tim: "Next time you go bbtea, try the Original Milk Tea."
Tiff: "Err, why would u do that?"
Tim: "Nono go there and say: "Can i please have the original milk tea, without milk please. *dumb smile on face*""
Tiff: "No! Say: Without milk OR tea please."
Tim: "*Crazy laugh*, *puts on hardcore asian accent* Can i please aaa, have the original milk tea, without the milk or tea, please, ok?"

*EDIT* Hannah I tried mocha flavour. It tastes like the ice milo you order at restaurants. :D Not that bad.

I glanced away
Away from him

If I did
I will only feel
Regret.

If only

Pointlessness
Then...
I will feel
Content.

Yes! Melanie has officially finished Philharmonic Orchestra ^.^ Concert was great, albeit tiring...holding up a viola for 45 minutes straight it not exactly comfortable...
Still, I will miss the people there ahaha...

(Viola love XD)
Yes..the above picture shows the entire viola section in the orchestra. Sad, yes I know...Still, it doesn't stop us being the coolest section XD
P.S. Notice the height difference?

(In the foyer after the concert)

Won't You Lord

Take a look at our hands
Everything we have
Used in for Your plans

Won't You Lord
Take a look at our hearts
Mold it, Refine it
As You set us apart

We want to run to the altar
And catch the fire
To stand in the gap between the living and the died
Give us a heart of compassion
For the world without vision
We will make a difference
Bringing HOPE to our land

Just something Rick shared at youth...struck me a lot... God has a plan for us...are we ready for Him? Are we ready to take up the load that He will or has already given us?

It is said that

All good things must come to an end. Well, it did for me.
1) I was attacked by a malemute. Well, not exactly attacked...I was just lying on the sofa when I heard a 'thud' and then some pain on my forehead..ish... Then I looked up to see Mishka (the malemute) standing there, lo
oking at me, going: I want to go outside ffs -.-' According to Jeremy, she reared up and just happened to hit me on the way down. Hmph.

Big ass malemutes with unneeded flab on it hurts.

2) I had my braces tightened and had newbutsoverythickandpainful wires. So now when I touch my top teeth to my bottom teeth, it feels like a hammer is hitting my teeth. Hmph.

3) State Volleyball trials are on the same day and time as my orchestra rehearsal. I can't miss the rehearsal because I have a concert that night. Hmph.

Hmph.

A week in my life

Talking to Angela in health today about whether we could walk our dogs together one day. It was there I realised I have no life. I have no afternoons, literally. Sighhhh...:
Monday: Vball 5-7
Tuesday: Chamber until 5
Wednesday: Vball 5-7
Thursday: Work from 5
Friday: Symphony till 5
Saturday: Work from 5
Sunday: Only afternoon free

Omg...ah wellzz... more than half of the week I'm doing something useful so it's not too bad. Useful stuff EXcludes orchestra ok?
Talking about dogs...
My Malamute, Mishka is an extremely awesomeifabitviolent dog. Being desexed(how to spell), she doesn't give a crap about male dogs, even if they are super hot (in a dog's eyes =.=) Howeverrr, if she sees a female dog, even if it's a full grown Rotweiler....things get abit complicated...

You see, Mishka seems to have an urge to kill all female dogs =.= If she sees one, she will pull at the leash trying to bite the other dog's head off. So... being Mishka's walker, you have to look around for other dogs. Tip: Look at her ears, if she perks them up, you know something's wrong.

AND, I have to say, dogs have a different way of analysing a situation. If a guy that's about 4 feet tall, sees a 7 feet tall, extremely buff guy, obviously the 4 feet dude wouldn't pick a fight rite? However dogs....

Once there was this (obviously) female dog who was about the size of my elbow to tip of finger length, small tiny dog. Now...for those who haven't seen my dog, it's about 10 times the size of the tiny dog. So I'm walking Mishka, when the tiny dog runs up to her and starts barking at her...=.= WTF..you wanna die huh?

Mishka's reaction was obviously...violent. BUT I managed to get her under control and the tiny dog didn't end up headless.

Remind me why I posted this post? I don't know...I'm bored. I should be studying for piano exam (no studying doesn't mean learning the parts of the piano) or at least doing some work...but face it, I'm a lazy pig...Blame it on a crap Bleach episode...

Saturday, October 11, 2008

Highlights at work:

1) James (owner of shop) walks in, goes: "I'm going to a party. They have like 6 DJs there." 5 minutes later, walks out. We celebrate by making a lo...i mean soome pizzas and garlic breads
2) Braden makes a roll with dough with garlic and cheese topping. Will add pic later.
3) Tim getting $5 tip for delivery . Later at the same house, gets no tips.
4) TimmY who is less than half a head taller than me and skinnier: Makes a pizza for himself. Sweeps floor. Knocks pizza over. Pizza ends up in bin. Makes 2nd pizza Large size. Eats the whole lot. Drinks nearly a whole bottle of 2L coke in the space of...15 minutes. WTF..
5) And finally...Me getting $2 tip XD at the counter.

Im slowly getting sick of pizzas...>.>

Calender

For Oct-Nov:
1) Two more days till hols end
2) Two more weeks till Phiharmonic Concert. Note: We are going to be screwed bad. We sound amazingly crap.
3) 5 more weeks till Piano Exam. Note: I am going to be screwed bad. I sound amazingly bad, and have no idea what I need to know.

On the upside: Less than two months till Volleyball Competition in Melbourne!

And 3 more hours till work.

In Better Hands

It's hard to stand on shifting sand
It's hard to shine in the shadows of the night
You can't be free if you don't reach for help
You cant love if you don't love yourself

There is hope when my faith runs out
Cause I'm in better hands now

It's like the sun is shining when the rain is pouring down
It's like my soul is flying though my feet are on the ground
So take this heart of mine there's no doubt
I'm in better hands now

I am strong all because of you
I stand in awe of every mountain that you move
Oh I am changed, yesterday is gone
I am safe from this moment on

There's no fear when the night comes 'round
I'm in better hands now

It's like the sun is shining when the rain is pouring down
It's like my soul is flying though my feet are on the ground
So take this heart of mine there's no doubt
I'm in better hands now

It's like the sun is shining when the rain is pouring down
It's like my soul is flying though my feet are on the ground
Its like the world is silent though I know it isn't true
Its like the breath of Jesus is right here in this room

So take this heart of mine there's no doubt
I'm in better hands now
I'm in better hands now

Love this song ^.^

Pizza King Moment #1

At Pizza King:
Braden: "Hey Mike, put up some fake orders, like heaps of them so James (owner of shop) freaks out when he sees it."
*Note: Saturdays are busy*
Few minutes later, Mike puts up a few fake orders with at least 10 pizzas each, under the name 'Fake'. Braden can't stop laughing at this point.
10 minutes later:
Everyone conveniently IGNORES the 20 pizza orders at the counter (Braden and I who were supposed to be making pizza stands around doing nothing). James walks in. (He usually leaves early if everything is under control, so we thought he would panic after seeing the orders, because it was already after the peak period)
*James walks in, looks around, nods, walks out without a word*
Braden, Timmy, Mike and I were like O_O
Braden (*Disappointed face*): "He f****** ignored it!"

Adam's night

Was awesome
Girls had to wear skirts and guys had to wear something...semi-formal? Well the guys took it very seriously as you can see:

(Very semi-formal as you can see)
Show kicked off with Sandy and Lydia song duet. They are so damn good...
Next (ok I skipped a few notsointeresting bits) was some sewing thingy where the Boy's Brigade boys get to show off their awesome sewing skills. Like this dude:

(Dominic is pro at sewing)
Then there's always the trybutstillfail people:

Then came the most hilarious part of the whole night: The time when boys could step up and show off their awesome make-up/creativefacepainting/hairdressing skills:

I have a question. How did one innocent looking guy:

Turn into this...thing/person in 5 minutes?:

But overall it was pretty awesome, except my phone decided to run out of memory so I had to delete half of the photos I had -.- I need a new memory card. Period.

Ok la, this is a shit post that doesn't make sense & pics that are the wrong way around but I cant be bothered.........really, I cant. Blame blogger for taking 20 mins to upload the pics, and blame my net for deciding to reset connection before the pics were uploaded. Stuff it

Working and Jobs

Yesterday night at work, I was working late shift. So there was me, Guy and Timmy. We started talking about iq (yes random) which led to jobs, which in turn brought up the subject of how we view working i.e. Do we want to be a doctor just so we can potentially live a wealthy life? Or do we become a doctor because we genuinely want to help people?

We asians, well mostly asian parents la (and don't say you've never said this while you were younger, it's in our blood) always tell their kids to become doctors. For us, doctors are like the ultimate job, you get money, respect and an honest job. What more can you ask? The only thing lacking in that list is the urge inside to help people, right? I'm not saying all asians only want money and status hor...It's just the question of you actually wanting to be a doctor. It's totally fine if your true ambition is to become a doctor, that you actually enjoy it. But this doesn't apply to all people. Some of us would hate to become a doctor. But out of those 'some people'' some will still do medicine even if they hate it (and if we've got the brains of course :P)

So the question at the end is: Will you stand over a person with a knife in your hands, blood splattered across your shirt (you're in a surgery room, not in the act of murdering someone :P) and go: 'Omg, get me out of this place, I hate it I hate it....but I really don't mind the Mercedes in my triple storey/river-view house."

Or will you be flying to third-world countries as part of a charity organisation, helping kids who's severely infected by some disease. Doing it entirely free of charge, getting less pocket money than the average 10 yr old, but still go: "I love my job"?

And I shall end my long post

What is the point in

thinking about something that you're never gonna get?

You really want it, but deep inside you know you're never gonna get it.

It's so pointless in wanting it but you can't stop thinking about it, to the point where it's hurting you...The thing is that you know it's impossible for it to happen...too many obstacles, too many lies to be said to achieve it...
That is what's driving me crazy

A day in English

Once upon a time, in the lovely school of Rossmoyne Senior High School, Room 19, English period, it was National Reading Day! Anyway.... (switches back to first person)we had this drawing competition, theme was a protagonist from any story. Being extremely bored, Hannah (or was it me o.o) decided to draw Pokemon. Yes shut up and read. She drew (asked Ling Ling to anyway..) a Pikachu, and then a Charmander. This is how the Charmander turned out:

(A bit blurry yes...but clear enough to appreciate her drawing skills right?)

Anyway... then I decided to draw Bulbasaur (you can see how bored we were aye?) And my superb drawing skills ended up with this:

(No words to describe)

Then Yin decided to join:

(Head a bit round but otherwise ok la)

And then Jeri just decided to own us all:

(Pics a bit blurry, but notsogood camera doesnt help)
Yup, that's how bored we were. But it made me realise that without these moments, life in school would be unbearable. It is these moments that make you smile when you think of them. Most importantly, it's because of friends that you can smile at school.

(There's always the dog to cheer you up :D)

Haven't updated for long time (okay la 4 days) mainly because nothing much has happened...
Anyway, I thought I had volleyball today at 5pm, so my dad sent me there. When I got there...Yr 8s training, no sign of my team. I waited for 10 minutes before finally deciding to walk home...Then I felt sad coz I hadn't played volleyball in over a week now...Sighzzz...

But switching to a happier topic:

One of those moments...

I was just having those random moments when memories of the past just comes shooting across your head. Well I just couldn't get this memory out of my head, and whenever I think of it, I just start cracking up:
Person at the dog pound:" So do you guys have any experience in taking care of animals?"
Jeremy (lil' bro):" Oh yea! This one time in Malaysia we were driving back at night. Then suddenly this cat runs across the road and we ran over it!"
Person at dog pound:" ... Oh I see."
Jeremy:" I can even feel the car going over it. It went like *makes car hitting a bump sound*"
Tim and my dad: "!!!!"

*Note: This was when we were looking for a dog. The conversation wasn't quite like that but it's the gist of it.*

XD

Oh yea and I finished by theory exam :D:D:D

PS3 + Foos =

Mayhem. Yes, no kidding.

Once upon a time, when the living room of the Foo family was PS3-less...(ok a bit dramatic la) it was pretty quiet... Until Dad finally bowed down to the persuasion of my little but devilish innocent-looking brother Jeremy, and bought us a PS3. That plus an obsession with Need For Speed resulted in this:

"GOGOGOGOGO!!!!!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! SOOO CLOOSSSE!!!"
"OIII NO FAIR!! RESTART LIAO!!!"

And so it continued until today...it was worse than usual, maybe because I was actually outside with them. Them being Tim Tiff and Jeremy -.-'' I usually decline to join them, mainly because I always get owned when playing with them. Yes shut up. It's better to stick to the career mode and play against computer on easy mode. :D

God's Pharmacy

Got this in an email. Just had to share it.

A friend sent this to me. It's been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, made dry land, planted a garden, made animals and fish... all before making a human. He made and provided what we'd need before we were born. These are best & more powerful when eaten raw. We're such slow learners...
God left us a great clue as to what foods help what part of our body!

God's Pharmacy! Amazing!

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye... and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, Bok choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Avocados target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week,it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. They increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries

Grapefruits, Oranges and other Citrus fruits look just l ike the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

Onions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Psalm 46:19 'Be Still and Know that I AM GOD'

Amazing isn't it? God's creativity and power is undescribable. Praise be to Him

(err..suppose to have pics but they don't load...could be just me o.o)
