Of very, very weird dreams

So this morning I woke up at 3.30am for some reason =___= and couldn't go back to sleep at all. After trying for about half an hour, I got up and went to get my ipod. My reasoning was that since sleep so desperately tried to evade me, might as well find something to pass the time. The next hour or so is a bit hazy, might have dropped off for a few minutes. Around 4.30 ish I saw lights come on (yes my mum starts her day that early). I think I dropped off again around 5.30. It was then that I had the weirdest dream I've had in awhile.

To understand the dream, I have to explain that my friend is currently obsessed with a certain yo seob from the korean boy band BEAST. So I asked her if she had any dreams about him yet. She said no. And funnily enough, it was I who had the dream. From what I can remember it went something like this:

He was walking down Bull Creek Drive. I knew it was Bull Creek Drive because it's the part where it meets Leach Highway, the bushland bit where I walk past everyday to get to school. Yes. Korean boy band star walking down a Perth street. Perth, Land of the Nobody-wants-to-visit-when-Touring. Naturally, I went up to him for an autograph. Next few bits are a bit hazy. Something about taking a photo with him and his (I assume) manager type person. ... And that is all. I woke up to my alarm at 6.30 to prepare for orchestra =_=

So Angela if you're reading this: I'm sorry =]

Of fatty, flavorsome foods and flying

Today, I had dinner with relatives at some Malaysian restaurant. Man, did that bring back a lot of memories... There was the 3-layer Teh C Peng. A.k.a. 3-layered iced tea with condensed milk. Brought back memories of food courts, hawker stalls in dodgy alleys. Used to have it at least once a week back in Malaysia. Today, it's the first time I've drank it since...who knows how long. Reminded me of how damn good it tastes. It was hard trying to not gulp it down all in one go. I'm already craving it now =[

And then there was Shark Fin Soup. Back home, I only had it when I attended wedding dinners at posh hotels. I remembered it being extremely tasty but could only have it on rare occasions. I remember eating it slowly, trying to savour every spoonful. And if I was extremely lucky, there would be a big piece of crabmeat in my soup.

And also Buttered Prawns. *Salivates* I used to have it in a restaurant in Sarawak Club. So....damn....good. Of course, I didn't know that the highly sought after dish costed heaps. I only knew that I wanted the whole plate to myself.

I miss Malaysian hawker food. A lot. Where supper wasn't a cup of milo or biscuits, but was fatty-but-oh-so-delicious-and-so-damn-cheap-compared-to-here hawker food. Since there was a place like 2 minutes away from my house, we used to go there at least once a week. It was always the spur of the moment. The "Hungry. Let's go get supper." type. But now, I can only dream of it.

Random note: Teleportation or flying?

of school and music

The day before I started year 11, there was a tiny sense of anxiety. Increased schoolwork, not being able to muck around in class or at nights...at least that's how it's supposed to be. Well, four days in and what I predicted was true to a certain extent. But night times are still slack for me, the result of procrastination (old habits die hard *cough* facebook), and trying not to yawn in class has been difficult. But I must say, I'm disappointed at some of the teachers I got. And apparently "this teacher sucks* is not a good enough excuse to switch classes. =[ Oh yeah, did I mention that the year 11 lawn at rossmoyne is possibly the crappiest out of the lot. Seriously. The main area does not even have proper grass -.-''

Anyway, as a result of a certain angela's someone's recent obsession with korean music, I've been persuaded into listening to it. It's been quite a while since I listened to asian music, the last time was when I was into chinese music and that was around 2008-ish. However, I can feel the asian music phase returning. BUT, listening to music I don't understand does turn me off a bit =O To tell the truth, the main reason I listen to asian music is to watch the guys ^_^ True, some of them can't sing for shit. And the boy band dance moves can bring out a 'wth' reaction sometimes (see below). Oh yeah and all some of them are definitely gay.
